On 10th of October, 2019, father Krzysztof Zębik, a Polish missionary, a Kombonian, offered Mass for the Donors of the Piotr Skarga Association in the city of Yirol in South Sudan. It was in this city, where the founder of the Congregation of Combonians, St. Daniel Comboni, whose liturgical memory we celebrated on that day, served.
Our Catholic brothers from Sudan have reasons to rejoice, because probably in the near future it will be possible to start work on the construction of two branch chapels in Piirciok and Kowic, villages belonging to the parish in Yirol.

Of the 115,000 PLN needed for this purpose, 23,000 are still missing from our collection! We hope to raise the required amount of money, but it all depends on the generosity of the Donors! We strongly encourage you to support this initiative and also ask you to disseminate information about our campaign, for example by providing a link to the website: DlaSudanu.pl.
The ceremonies began in the morning with a procession of the faithful. It was led by parish groups and school youth dressed in characteristic colorful uniforms. At 11:00 a.m. in the parish church began Mass, celebrated for Donors. Then the ceremonial march set off towards the St. Daniel Comboni Primary School, where a secular part of the ceremony and a common meal took place.
Krzysztof Zębik will celebrate the next Holy Mass in Yirol on December 8, 2019, on the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This will probably be an opportunity for the official closing of the fundraising campaign for the construction of chapels.
